Who's Miss Nap Anyway?

Hi there! My name is Jessica Napolitano. I have been teaching Elementary School for 15 years, and before that I worked in a Preschool teaching 2 and 3 year olds. I grew up in Menlo Park Terrace and attended Woodbridge Township Schools from Kindergarten through High School (Go JFK Mustangs!) I love technology! I'm certified as a Google Educator levels 1 and 2, and I am also certified as a NatGeo Educator. 

 I have a sweet gray kitty named Smokey. I love to read and go to the movies in my free time. Live music is my favorite kind of cardio, and my favorite band is the Dave Matthews Band. I love football (Go Miami Dolphins!) and baseball (Let's Go Yankees!) Art is very near and dear to my heart, and my mom is recently retired as the Art Teacher at Iselin Middle School. But my very favorite subject to teach, and learn, is Science.  Geology, biology, astronomy, oceanography, you name it - I'm ready to learn about it and share my love of our incredible planet. 

I was beyond blessed to welcome twins to my little family in 2021, Jack and Cassie. Chasing around two toddlers is keeping Mommy and Daddy plenty busy!

If we give ourselves and each other some grace and a little extra patience, I know we will be a success! Third grade is a big transition normally, and I look forward to spending the year watching my students grow, gain confidence, and claim their independence a bit. My first and most important priority is to make your children feel safe and loved, and then we will tackle all the academic stuff. I'm available for any questions or concerns, big or small. I'll be sending out our Class Dojo Communication ASAP. I'm so excited to get started!
