Hello! Welcome to my website! I am Miss Russo, a first grade teacher at Mawbey Street Elementary School. I have been teaching in Woodbridge Township School District for twelve years; this will be my eleventh year teaching first grade and I cannot wait to see what the year brings! 

Some of my favorite things to do are hiking, riding on bike trails, traveling to new places, spending time with my family in New Jersey and my brother's family in South Carolina, playing with my dogs Mikey and Charlie, and volunteering at the animal shelter near my house! I am a huge animal lover! This past summer I got married!! I had the best time spending August in Italy and Croatia. My new name is Mrs. Szwajda! 

Additionally, I am proud to be Orton-Gillingham certified, which enables me to utilize various language arts techniques and be inclusive of all learners in my classroom. Through my hard work and dedication I am confident that your child will enjoy learning just as much as I enjoy teaching!
