Welcome to my page!
I am Mrs. McKenzie, Academic Coach at Port Reading School #9.
I have been part of the wonderful team of teachers here at #9 since 2006. As an Academic Coach, I will be working with all grade levels this year. I look forward to helping your child grow as a reader and writer. I especially love to teach writing, and hope that my love for the craft will rub off on my students. Reading is something else I am passionate about, and look forward to using many resources that align with the Science of Reading to build upon the reading strategies and fluency skills my students already have.
I received my B.A. from Rutgers College, Rutgers University, and graduated from New Jersey City University with my Masters degree in Educational Technology. Using technology as an authoring tool is a passion of mine and I infuse the use of technology into my lessons whenever possible!
