Welcome!

Hello! This will be my 13th year teaching. I spent two years in the district teaching Academic Support Instruction for both 3rd and 5th grade and 11 years teaching 4th grade at Avenel Street School. I grew up in Woodbridge and it makes me proud to say that I teach for the township that educated me. I am looking forward to a great year with all of my students and the staff here at Avenel St. School. You can help your children improve their reading and literacy skills by reading to them daily, and providing opportunities for them to read as often as possible. 

 You can also help your children improve their math skills by practicing math facts daily. Making flashcards is a great idea and they can be used for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts! There are also many great educational apps available online to help reinforce skills which will be taught and reviewed in fourth grade. There are multiple apps available for reinforcing place value, fractions, multiplication and division skills; some of the most important skills in fourth grade.
