Class Rules

• Homework will be given almost every day

• You will be required/expected to have it done every day

• Grading – Congratulations! EACH WEEK, you start off with a grade of 100 for your homework!

  • • • Each homework will be worth a maximum of 10 points and is based on EFFORT NOT RIGHT/WRONG!!

        • • • • • 10 points – fully completed, all work shown and neatly written

                • 7 points – almost fully completed, most of the work shown

                • 5 points – Only half completed, no work shown, sloppily written

                • 3 points – You got a few questions done but that's it

                • 0 points – We all know how to achieve this one : )

If you miss homework or only get half credit, your grade drops that many points.

(example: on Monday you have a 100, you miss that night’s homework, you now have a 90 for the week).

This will continue all week long until Friday.

Make-up work is accepted only when student has an excused absence

• You will receive a participation grade each week

• Congratulations! EACH WEEK, you start off with a grade of 100 for your participation!

• Participation and Homework go hand in hand!!

  • • • • • • • 10 on homework = No points deducted for the day

              • 7/5/3 on homework = 3 points deducted for the day

              • 0 on homework = 5 points deducted for the day

• EACH DAY is worth 20 points! 5 points will be deducted for every offense

• Participation includes the following:

  • • • Coming to class prepared (see “Everyday classroom procedures” above)

      • Asking/Answering questions during lesson

      • Taking notes!

      • Not being disruptive during lesson!
