Science Department Head

Welcome Message for Students:

Hello Class!

Welcome to Biology! I look forward to meeting and working with each and every one of you this year Have a great 2024-2025 school year and remember do your best!

What is Biology?

Biology is the study of life, and it is the branch of science that covers all living things. Different topics in biology include genetics (the study of inheritance and DNA), microbiology (study of microscopic organisms like bacteria and algae), ecology (study of ecosystems and the environment) virology (study of viruses), zoology (study of animals), botany (study of plants), and the list goes on and on. In this class, we will study the building blocks of life, cells, and how they function on the microscopic level and how they work together to form living things. We will then move into genetics, ecology, evolution, and virology. Biology is an expansive field of science that we will only just begin to explore!
