Hi everyone! Another very important part of our school is the PTO. They do great things not only for our school but for the community as well. Please join and support the PTO! Also you can support the PTO by volunteering- there are many different times and functions that volunteers are needed. https://forms.gle/6yHS5W1K5Xt9R1of7

Not alot to report as this is a relatively uneventful week !(thank goodness)
To sum up our phonics so far--
We have learned the letters a, m s,i, p, f, n
We have learned the heart (sight, trick) words I, the, and , a
We have starting putting the letters together that we have learned and tapping out C-V-C words (consonant- vowel- consonant)
We have also learned that when next to n or m -- a makes a nasal a sound as in can or jam.
In math we are finishing up unit 2 and this week will review and assess. We have learned numbers 1-5, to write them to compare them. WE have also learned about 3d shapes.
In class we watch a live stream of a bald eagles nest. It is a cool concept I have been doing in my class for many years. The nest is actually in NJ at Duke Farms in Hillsborough, We will watch the eagles lay eggs, incubate them and then we watch as the eaglets grow and then leave . I will keep you posted on what is happening in the nest. Here is the link if you'd like to see what we're watching in class. (or on youtube it is duke farms eagle cam)

See you all soon,
EA
** In school we are collecting socks to recycle. The only requirement is they have to be clean. They can have holes, be single, be stretched out. They can be anything but dirty. If you have any --please send them in with your student! Thank you
