AP Art & Design
COURSE OVERVIEW
AP 2-D Art and Design is an introductory college-level two-dimensional design course. Students refine and apply 2-D skills to ideas they develop throughout the course. Develop your 2-D skills through materials and processes such as graphic design, photography, collage, printmaking, fashion illustration, collage, and others. You’ll create artwork that reflects your own ideas and skills that you’ve learned. Throughout the year, you will create a portfolio of works and submit a digital portfolio May as your test.
SUMMER ENRICHMENT: You are encouraged to join summer enrichment class. Monday 8/14, Tuesday 8/15, Wednesday 8/16, and Thursday 8/17. All classes meet from 3:00-5:00 PM. Please click gray button above to complete registration.
SUPPLIES
You will need to get supplies for our class. As the year progresses, if there is something else you need, I will let you know. I know we are all in different financial situations. Please keep open communication with me if you are having any difficulties getting things for class. In no way do you need to buy the most expensive materials. I will link on our classroom page suggestions. We can work around what everyone can get. It isn't the material, it is the ARTIST that makes art.
Sketchbook 9 X 12 spiral bound multimedia is best since it can handle more than just pencil and pen. It will help save on having to purchase different paper later
Colored Pencils Prisma colors are awesome, but most will do
