Welcome to the world of the Biological Sciences! I'm your host, Mrs. McCaig. At any level, we'll be talking about what makes our world go 'round, from the micro (cells) to the macro (entire ecosystems). I'm always good for a crazy story along the way to help you understand biology, and a bad joke. :)

I was born and raised right next door in Rahway, NJ! Home to great scientists like the famous astronomer, Carl Sagan, and biologist/biology textbook author, Ken Miller! While this Jersey Girl didn't quite follow in their footsteps, I have always loved science. I hope to pass on at least some of my passion for the subject to my students. I currently reside down at the Jersey Shore with my husband, who knows (almost) nothing about biology, my two daughters, Abby (9) and Cameron (7). This will be my 18th year teaching biology here at Kennedy! And I couldn't do it without the students or coffee ;)

Education:

B.S. in Biology from The College of New Jersey 2006.

MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) from The College of New Jersey 2008.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching biological sciences at JFK since 2008.
