Precalculus C

"Life is a math equation. In order to gain the most, you have to know how to convert the negatives into positives."

About this course:

The content of Precalculus is organized around functions: linear relations and functions, quadratic, polynomial, and radical functions and relations, and advanced functions and relations. Students will explore functions from a Calculus perspective, understand and graph rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. They will review Algebra content involving systems of equations, matrices, and conic sections. Students will understand and graph vectors and polar coordinates. Sequences and series, both geometric and arithmetic, will be covered. In addition, students who plan on taking Calculus will discover and determine limits graphically and analytically. As students study various functions, they will learn to represent them in multiple ways––graphing calculator, equations, and graphs. To prepare for the SAT/ACT, multiple choice questions will be included daily.

Students will be able to access this curriculum through their Chromebook, supplied by the Woodbridge Township School District, as part of the 1:1 technology device initiative. Implementing this technology will allow students to understand and retain math concepts, and have the ability to apply, analyze, evaluate, and create.

Prerequisite: Algebra 2
