About Mrs. Della Serra
This is my 19th year teaching high school math, and my 8th year at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School.
I graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, and completed my masters at The University of Scranton in Scranton, PA.
I am teaching Algebra 2, Precalculus, and AP Calculus AB this year, but have taught everything from Algebra 1 to Calculus.

About Precalculus
Precalculus is the study of the mathematical prerequisites for Calculus, including Algebra, Trigonometry and Analytical Geometry.
We will be reviewing many skills covered in Algebra 2, but taking a look at them from a Calculus perspective and applying those skills at a higher level.
Calcululs is the study of things in motion. It is what students have been preparing for through their study of Algebra. It will require studentws to go beyond their previous level of understanding of functions.
Be able to describe functions in four ways…
Analytical: Using procedures, algebraic steps.
Numerical: Using tables and data.
Graphical: Making conclusions from pictures.
Verbal: Explaining your mathematical reasoning.
