Program History

2024-2025

The 2024-2025 Varsity Spirit team earned 2nd place in the Red Division at the Game Day GMC competition. The team consisted of 24 athletes: 

Senior Captains: Michelle Etienne, Carlene Gruskowski, Janelys Henriquez, and Suhani Patel

Seniors: Aryanna Dlugosz, Isaiah Mosson Joyner (Apparel Chair), Kaylin Reyes, Jazmin Sanchez, and Elizabeth Sarmiento 

Juniors: Ria Arora (Junior Captain), Kylie Dlugosz, Allison Gosein, Isabella Lauro, Ava Nardone (Junior Captain), Jaslene Ortiz, Shivani Patel (Social Media Chair), Courtney Paulikas (Advertising Chair), Madison Platt, and Julia Russo 

Sophomores: Mya Acosta, Ayva Garcia, Dayanira Obesso, Victoria Petras (Decoration Chair), and Maher Verma

The 2024-2025 Varsity Competition team earned 1st place locally in the Cheer/Dance division 5 times, 1st place locally in the Game Day division 3 times, earned 5th place (Advanced Non-Tumble) and 17th place (Small Game Day) at NCA Nationals, and earned the title of STATE CHAMPIONS in the Non-Tumble Cheer/Dance division. The team also was the runner up of the Blue division at the GMC Championship and placed 3rd at the NJ State Championship in the Medium Game Day division. The team consisted of 14 athletes:

-Aryanna Dlugosz and Carlene Gruskowski cheer at the University of Scranton, competing at UCA College Nationals each year.

-Janelys Henriquez and Elizabeth Sarmiento cheer at Montclair State University, competing at NCA College Nationals each year.

2023-2024

The 2023-2024 Varsity Spirit team competed in the Game Day GMC competition. The team consisted of 20 athletes:

Seniors: Zelize Craig, Rebecca Desmond, Aliyah Lima (Social Media Chair), Candice Plasencia, Kayla Schmalenberger, and Chloe Tu (Advertising Chair)

Juniors: Aryanna Dlugosz, Michelle Etienne, Carlene Gruskowski (Junior Captain), Janelys Henriquez, Suhani Patel (Decoration Chair), Jazmin Sanchez, and Elizabeth Sarmiento

The 2023-2024 Varsity Competition team earned 1st place locally in the Cheer/Dance division 3 times, 1st place locally in the Game Day division 6 times, earned 14th place (Small Novice Crowd Performance) and 17th place (Medium Game Day) at NCA Nationals, and earned the title of STATE CHAMPIONS in both the Intermediate Cheer/Dance division and the Medium Game Day division! The team consisted of 19 athletes:

-Daniella Pajak cheers at The College of New Jersey, competing at UCA College Nationals each year. She also works as a member of the NCA staff.

-Rebecca Desmond cheers at Montclair State University, competing at NCA Nationals each year.

2022-2023

The 2022-2023 Varsity Spirit team earned 3rd place in the White Division at the Game Day GMC competition. The team consisted of 16 athletes:

Seniors: Allison Cardenas, Alyssa Carrion (Decoration Chair), Akiva Lewis-Allen, Bridget Lutz (Apparel Chair), and Khushi Shah

The 2022-2023 Varsity Competition team earned 1st place locally in the Cheer/Dance division 6 times, 1st place locally in the Game Day division 6 times, earned 5th place (Coed Intermediate Crowd Performance) and 11th place (Small Coed Game Day) at NCA Nationals, and earned the title of STATE CHAMPIONS in the Coed Game Day division! The team consisted of 12 athletes:

-Bridget Lutz was recruited for the East Stroudsburg University's Acrobatic & Tumbling team. 

-Xailene Voon cheers at East Stroudsburg University on the sideline. 

2021-2022

The 2021-2022 Varsity Spirit team consisted of 21 athletes:

The 2021-2022 Varsity Competition team earned 1st place locally in the Cheer/Dance division 1 time, earned 10th place (Small Intermediate Crowd Performance) at NCA Nationals, and placed 2nd at the NJ State Championship in the Small Intermediate division! The team consisted of 12 athletes:
