Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) is an intensive supplemental literacy support for struggling readers. It is provided daily for 30 minutes in the form of small group instruction. This program will help your cihld meet grade-level expectations, improve comprehension, increase student engagement, and monitor student progress.
All students were given beginning-of-year screening assessments to determine current academic performance. Your child’s scores indicated he/she may benefit from additional support with reading. In addition to the daily, differentiated instruction your child receives in the classroom, Extra support is needed in order to show growth and maintain grade-level progress.
Additional assessments may be completed throughout the year in order to drive instruction and intervention. I will closely monitor your child’s progress and consult with you and the classroom teacher to determine if the additional support should continue, be modified, or is no longer needed.
It is my goal to provide the best instruction to help your child succeed. We will continue to actively monitor progress and performance to ensure success.
