Meet the Teacher

Hi everyone.  Welcome to WMS and 6th Grade Science!  I am excited to work with all of you and help you grow in your knowledge.  

This is my 26th year of teaching and all of my years have been as the WMS 6th grade science teacher.   I love WMS and I love 6th graders!   I graduated from Caldwell University many years ago where I also played softball for the Cougars.  I have two young children ages 10 and 12.   I have a passion for coaching softball.  I am the coach of IMS softball as well as being the head softball coach at JFK High School. 

I love being outdoors and playing sports.  I love watching my kids in their sports of cheerleading, soccer and basketball.   I am a huge fan of the NY Giants and the Yankees.  

I will be using Google Classroom to post all of the assignments as a virtual planner.  Once each student joins you will have to ability to have access through them to see the required work.

I feel very strongly that middle school should begin their journey of taking responsibility for their learning.  I give homework and have high expectations for work quality.  I am consistent with my expectations so the students always know how to succeed.  I am looking forward to working with you!
