Class Rules & Expectations 

Hello everyone! 

I am looking forward to meeting all of you and making this a fun and productive school year. Listed below you will find my classroom rules and expectations for students to ensure we make the most of this school year.

• Come prepared and ready to learn! Come to class on time and with all materials needed for class including a writing utensil, a notebook, and a charged device. We will use our school devices almost everyday so it is crucial to bring them to school and have them charged.

• No cell phones are to be used in class during the school day. 

• No plagiarism. As per district policy, plagiarism will result in a 0 for the assignment grade and a meeting with guidance. The assignment may be redone, however, the highest value to be earned after plagiarism is a 74. Any subsequent offenses of plagiarism will result in a 0.

• All class members will be treated with respect. Appreciate contributions from classmates, listen without interrupting, and complete your fair share of the work. 

Grading Policy

Minor Assignments: 66.5% Classwork, homework, quizzes, class participation.

Major Assignments: 33.5% Tests, essay, and projects.

Students will receive a 2 day grace period for late work. After the 2 day grace period, students will lose 10 points a day for each day their assignment is late. After 5 days, the highest grade a student will receive is a 50%.
