• Rocket design and building... track design/support

  • sketch out design and begin assembling... balloon attachment? where?

  • Aesthetics matter... make the rocket look "good"

Wednesday

• Warm-up: Sudoku Puzzle (handout)

• Rocket Assembly... finish building rockets and test (grade: rocket and testing)

• Rocket Testing... does the design work on the straw?

  • any modifications needed (document progress)

  • timed runs

Thursday

• Warm-up: What's For Dinner

• Project Slideshow: 

  • DESIGN: image of sketch as well as prototype... rationale for design

  • TESTING: any modifications needed? timed trials?

  • Plan presentation (grading guide page 2)

Friday

• Warm-up: Solve the Riddle

• Project Presentations: (MAJOR grade)... slideshow

  • Completed worksheet is included 

  • DESIGN: image of prototype... rationale for design

  • TESTING: balloon circumference and timed runs (need at least 2)

    • Presentations are expected to be clear and each member is expected to have a role beyond "slide changer"... if not, 10 points will be deducted from the overall score (grading guide page 2)
