UNIT 4 READING:

Students are learning about the Holocaust and Anne Frank through various sources. We watched "I'm Still Here: Holocaust Survivor Diaries" and completed a Butterfly Design activity in honor of young writers from the Holocaust. We are reading "The Diary of a Young Girl" play in the Literature textbook that is adapted from Anne Frank's famous diary. Then, Ms. DiLonardo will share photos and stories from her trip to Amsterdam to visit the Anne Frank House and other locations to see Anne Frank Tree saplings. 

UNIT 4 WRITING:

Students are writing an Autobiographical Narrative about one main experience in their life that shaped who they are as a person. This personal writing piece will include character development, sequence of events, figurative language, and lesson learned.
