HAPPENINGS AND HIGHLIGHTS FROM ROOM 417

UNIT 1 READING:

To answer the Big Question "Can all conflicts be resolved?" students have been reading S.E. Hinton's classic young-adult novel The Outsiders. They met our class mascots, including Greaser action figure and PB&J magnets, to represent the Greaser characters and Ponyboy (PB) & Johnny's (J) friendship. Honors students have also started to read Jack London's classic novel The Call of the Wild featuring their class mascot, Bucky (with his dog family in the photo to the right).
