Before class begins:
Make sure your device is fully charged.
Arrive a few minutes early to your online meeting to ensure you are prepared.
Gather any necessary documents, texts, or files you may need for the day.
Dress appropriately.
Set up at a table or desk for comfort and organization: you want to be able to keep your texts, notebook, and device close by for easy use.
Avoid doing work from your bed, or lounging on the couch; make sure you work in a space appropriate for learning. Show you are serious.
During the online meeting:
Make sure your microphone is off while others are speaking. Even if you are quiet, background noise may distract others.
Pay attention to the speaker; if you have a question, use the hand raising feature or type your question in the chat. Do not interrupt the speaker.
Your video should be on at all times during the meeting. If you have to step away, turn off your video. Make sure your image that shows when you turn off your video is school appropriate.
If you’d like to use a background, please make sure it is school appropriate and does not distract other students.
Stay on topic in the chat. Be polite, appropriate, and respectful.
