About me
I hope everyone had a great summer, but more importantly I hope you all are looking forward to this school year as much as I am!
My name is Mrs. Sulich, formerly Ms. Matyas, and this is my fifth year at Colonia Middle School. I studied at The Catholic University of America for my bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education, and then went on to Kean University for my master’s in Special Education with concentrations in Autism and Developmental Disabilities, as well as my post-master’s certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis.
When I am not in the classroom, you'll find me reading, knitting, or relaxing at the beach. This summer I took up needlepointing, and am loving the calmingness of it. I also knit baby hats for the infants in the NICU at my local hospital and soap sacks for the S.A.C.K. organization.
I am excited to work with both you and your learner, and am confident that by working together we can all have a successful school year. In order to help your child reach his or her full potential it is essential that we have an open line of communication. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time via email or the REMIND app, an announcement system that will keep you informed of class and school activities.
Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation!
