Welcome to the Vocal Music Department! My name is Alaine Bolton and I am beginning my 27th year of teaching at Colonia High School. I graduated from Woodbridge High School, studied Chemical Engineering for two years, and then graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts with a degree in Music Education with a Vocal Concentration.

A day by day timeline cannot be set in the progressive learning of music.
All Fall Semester music must be learned by the Winter Concert in December.
The rate of learning varies by class and by individual. However, important points, such as breathing, production, correct rhythm, correct notes, and memorization will be emphasized on a daily basis and will be expected on a daily basis once comprehension is established.
All Spring Semester music must be completely learned by the Spring Concert in May.
