Colleges Visiting JFK
Colleges Visiting JFK
Use Naviance to:
-Register when colleges' admissions staff visit JFK-this will be on the Naviance homepage: Look for "What's New."
-Often, the admissions personnel that visit our high school in the fall will be in charge of reading and evaluating applications from our region.
-Attending a school presentation/visit for a college in which you may apply to counts as 'demonstrated interest'. This can also be done by registering for emails from their admissions office and opening them, or taking a campus or virtual tours. Sometimes demonstrated interest factors into the admissions process for students. You can check the list of schools that weigh this here:
https://www.collegetransitions.com/dataverse/colleges-that-consider-demonstrated-interest

-If you have an issue registering for a college's presentation at JFK-stop down to the counseling office to see if we can provide a pass to attend.
-Students are responsible for all work missed during college presentations.
