Expectations / Policies

Be Safe

• Follow all safety rules.

• Leave all food and drinks in your locker. Water bottles can be left on the table by the door.

Be Respectful

• Listen when others are talking.

• Raise your hand to contribute, ask questions, or ask permission to get up

Be Responsible

• Be on time.  For in person instruction, on time means in your seat working on the Do Now when the bell rings.  

• Bring the following items to class each day:

  • Chromebook

  • Notebook

  • Pencil

  • Calculator (should include parenthesis and scientific notation capabilities, i.e., TI30X)

• Complete your work on time.

Grading

• Each Marking Period grade is based on

  • 50% Major Assessments (tests, projects)

  • 50% Minor Assessments (quizzes, labs, classwork, homework)

• Final class grade is calculated as 40% MP1, 40% MP2, and 20% Final Exam.

Absences

• You are responsible for finding out what work you missed and making up the work.  

• Check Google Classroom for missed assignments.  See me before/after class or email me with questions.  

• If an absence is excused, students are permitted two days for each day absent to make up work.  A zero will be entered in to Genesis Gradebook until the assignment is completed and graded.

• Please send me an email to notify me when an assignment is turned in electronically after the original due date due to an excused absence.

Arriving Late

• As per the Parent/Student Handbook, 2 unexcused lates = 3 days detention!

Hall Passes

• No one is permitted outside of class during class time without a pass.

• Please do not ask to use the bathroom while I am instructing unless it is an emergency.

Extra Help

• Please contact me to arrange a mutually agreed time and discuss additional resources available.

Consequences for not meeting expectations or not following procedures

1. Verbal warning

2. Notify parents

3. Referral to Vice Principal

* Serious offenses may result in more severe consequences regardless of previous steps taken.
