Benchmark Universe

Benchmark Universe will be used to access all materials needed for our Language Arts program. We will work on many different reading strategies throughout the school year. Some of them include:

*Making Connections

*Making predictions/inferences

*Visualizing the text

*Asking questions

*Summarizing what you read

*Finding the main topic and key details

*Deciding what the author's purpose is

*Retelling

*Story Structure

All of these strategies can be used on any text and can be practiced at home.
