We look forward to seeing you at the 2025-2026 FKS Back to School Night - Wednesday 9/10
Welcome 5th grade class of 2026!
I hope you were rewarded with an exhilarating summer and are getting excited for your final year as a Flocktown-Kossmann wolf! 🐺 I am thrilled to be your 5th-grade teacher and look forward to a year of growing and learning together.
So what can you expect as a lead wolf at FKS? 🐺 Fifth grade is a year filled with rewarding activities and experiences that promote growth in both your academic learning and development in character. There will not only be much to learn in fifth grade, but the year ahead will allow you to build friendships, navigate through challenges, and collect memories along your journey.🎯🧗
So...are you wondering what you might need to kick off this school year on the right foot? 🤔🦶
To start, I'd encourage you to pack a positive attitude in your backpack, tuck ambition and perseverance in your pocket, and wear a warm welcoming smile to class each day. To help start the ground running, please bring in the suggested supplies listed below by FRIDAY, 9/5. Additionally, our schedule allows time for a "working snack," therefore please bring a healthy peanut/tree nut-free snack that is easy to eat. Lastly, to keep our minds active and ready to learn, feel free to bring in a water bottle to keep on your desk. 🍌
In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your summer by spending time with your family and friends! 😎☀️ And for those who are able to attend, I look forward to meeting you at our walk-through on August 27th from 11:00-12:00. If you don't make it, no sweat, I'll see you on opening day!😁
With great anticipation,
Mrs. Martire

Scroll down to 5th grade. PLEASE DO NOT label binder tabs for ELA if you are in the Martire/Rooney homeroom.
For the 2025-2026 school year, I will be team teaching with the wonderful Mrs. Rooney and Mrs. Tasnady! This is my first year teaming with Mrs. Rooney and I am quite excited i've been awarded the experience. And it's been a few years since I teamed up with Mrs. Tasnady , so I'm eager to co-teach their homeroom with her. Please visit the Rooney-Tasnady site to learn more about her.
With our daily schedule being fine-tuned, one thing for sure is that you will experience ELA and Social Studies with Mrs. Martire and experience math, science, and engineering with Mrs. Rooney. Our daily schedule will be available to you as soon as it is set so be sure to check here periodically.
