Hi! My name is Lena Dickman, and I am so excited to be part of the BAC family!
I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and earned my degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Education from The College of New Jersey and recently became Orton-Gillingham certified.
I’m happily married and currently live in Livingston, New Jersey. I am a proud mom of three, and my youngest recently started college! When I’m not teaching, I love reading, crafting, going for walks, listening to podcasts or music, and playing board games with my husband and children.
I have been a special education teacher for more than 25 years, including 15 years in this district. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work as both a Resource Room and In-Class Resource teacher in grades 1–5. I truly love teaching and I love learning just as much! I enjoy taking professional development courses and learning new strategies that I can bring back to my classroom to help my students grow and succeed.
I am looking forward to an exciting year filled with learning, growth, and lots of wonderful experiences. I am so proud to be part of the BAC family and can’t wait to get to know my students and their families. Here’s to an amazing and successful school year!
