English as a Second Language
The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program is designed for non-native English-speaking students to develop English language proficiency. The program serves students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 at Bells School, Grades 6-8 at Orchard Valley Middle School, and Grades 9-12 at the High School.

WTPS is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive school counseling program accessible to all students. Our goal is to collaborate with each student through the assigned School Counselor and Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC) to develop essential academic, career, and social/emotional skills, laying the groundwork for future success.

Special Education
The district offers services for students aged five to 21 who qualify for one or more of the 14 special education categories under N.J.A.C. 6A:14 when the disability adversely affects the student’s educational performance, and the student is in need of specially designed instruction. Each building has a child study team that performs evaluations to determine eligibility for special education.

Preschool Disabled Program
Preschool services are available for children with disabilities who are identified after their third birthday. Preschool special education is available in the Washington Township School District.
