Each trip is different--so the prices vary. Our least expensive trip (Greece & Rome) was around $3,500 total, while our most expensive trip (Austrailia, New Zealand, & Fiji) was more than twice that. Most families choose to pay for the trip in monthly installments, and we try to make sure those monthly payments are within reach for as many people as possible--usually around $250-$350 per month.
Email the Warren On Tour lead teacher, Mr. Tim Vanlaningham, and he'll get you all the info you need. (Click here to see his email on the WTHS staff directory page).
Our adult chaperones are all WTHS faculty. We are not allowed to use non-faculty parents as chaperones (sorry!) We have a Traveler:Chaperone ratio of 6:1.
We partner with EF Tours on all of our trips. They are the best in the business and are the go-to choice for thousands of other high school travel programs, including many other Lake County schools. Learn more about EF Tours here (link).
While on tour, we stay in safe 3-star-or-better hotels. Each room has its own bathroom. Each traveler shares a room with up to three other students. Individuals with unique rooming requests can be accommodated.
So far, we've always flown in and out of O'Hare. Flights vary in length based on destination, with a trip to Europe usually resulting in a 7-10 hour flight, China & Japan are around 13-15, and Australia is 18-20!
Because our trips are to international destinations, all travelers will need a passport that is valid until at least six months after our return date. This is in accordance with US State Department regulations. Travelers may hold a non-US passport.
