What is BEDS?
BEDS stands for Basic Educational Data System, and it's what New York State uses to gain all kinds of information from public school districts for everything from population to technology to school lunch programs.
What do I need to know about BEDS?
Your administrator will ask you for information relating to the library program(s) in your district. See the 2019 information asked for here. (Library is on page four of the document.)
WSWHE SLS sends out information in September to assist librarians in completing the library section of the BEDS form. A copy of September 2019 correspondence can be found here.
