WHAT IS A LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS)?

How does a WSSD Student access schoology?

Students can click on https://wssd2.schoology.com  (This link can also be found on WSSD.org under the 'For Students' section.)

Click on ‘Continue with Wallingford Swarthmore School’ and use their WSSDGMAIL.org username and password.

How does a Parent/Guardian access schoology?

How will Schoology interface with Google Classroom?

While Google Classroom is a wonderful tool, Google Classroom  is not a Learning Management System. Schoology will provide a great deal more interaction with teachers, students and their families, and teachers will be able to easily transfer content that has been created using Google Classroom to the Schoology platform.

How do Schoology and Powerschool interface with each other?

PowerSchool is our Student Information System (SIS). Schoology and the PowerSchool SIS will continue to work together to provide ease in logging student attendance, updating student grades, and accessing student demographic information.

Importantly, Schoology is not a replacement for PowerSchool. Schoology is designed to integrate within the PowerSchool platform.

WHEN WILL K-2 STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES BE ABLE TO ACCESS SCHOOLOGY?

After considerable reflection and conversation with K-2 teachers, K-2 students will continue accessing SeeSaw. We will continue to investigate the possibility of implementing Schoology with K-2 students during the 2024-2025 school year.
