GUIDING PRINCIPLES OF STUDENT EMPOWERMENT & ENGAGEMENT IN WSSD
As we emerge from the pandemic, we have a great opportunity to reimagine instruction and create/sustain innovative classroom environments in order to keep WSSD moving forward and maintaining its spot among the leading districts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Knowing when to integrate technology, what the best options may be to support student learning, and how to make the experiences meaningful is easier when our work is grounded in guiding principles. The WSSD Instructional Technology Department will organize our efforts around 6 Guiding Principles of Student Empowerment & Engagement, incorporate the ISTE Standards for Students, and use the SAMR Model to ensure that ALL students are being prepared for their future. It is an exciting time in education!
