Power School
PowerSchool is the student information system (SIS) used by the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. Parents and Students can access important information and complete a variety of tasks within the designated Parent/Student Portal. Over the course of a school year, the Portal provides parents/students the opportunity to stay abreast of academic progress and monitor attendance.
At the start of the school year, parents/guardians are asked to verify demographic information, complete required forms, and give permissions to different programs within the portal. Since the information within the Portal is used by your child's school and the District to send important messages, it is critically important that families update telephone numbers, email, and address if they change after the initial annual verification.
If you are the parent/guardian of a WSSD student, please use the link above to access the Parent Portal.
If you did not receive your PowerSchool email with directions for setting up an account to gain access to the Parent Portal please email WSSD's Educational Data Systems Manager, Derrick L. Clements, at dclements@wssd.org.
NOTE: By default, whenever WSSD or your child’s school sends an alert, School Messenger will send the message to the Parent/Guardian phone and email contacts we have on file for you in the Parent Portal (PowerSchool) that you list as Priority 1, Priority 2, and Priority 3. You can update your contact priorities during the completion of the Re-Registration Process (the Digital Summer Mailing Packet) or by following the directions located on the School Messenger page.

FAQs
What Is the Parent/Student Portal?
The Parent/Student Portal allows parents/guardians of students in grades kindergarten through five to securely access their child’s attendance information and mid-year and end-of-year progress reports. The Parent/Student Portal allows middle school and high school students and their parents to securely access and read student information, including individual student grades, teacher comments, future assignments, and missing assignments.
What is the Parent/Student Portal Security and Accountability?
Parents/Guardians will create their own usernames and passwords. User names and passwords are confidential and should not be shared with others. Upon verification that a Parent Student Portal username or password has been compromised, portal access through that account will be immediately disabled by the designated school personnel.
The Parent/Student Portal service is not meant to replace direct communication between students, parents, teachers, and/or other school staff members. If a parent/guardian has questions about any of the information viewed via the portal, those questions should be discussed with the student and/or teacher.
