Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band is a course offering that allows any Haven student to learn and make music in a Concert Band setting. Freshman through Seniors of any ability level are welcome to join the course providing they are willing to work well and improve during each rehearsal.

The Symphonic Band meets during 5th Block on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The students to commit to occasional evening rehearsals before concerts in March and in May.

Wind Ensemble

The Wind Ensemble is the flagship concert band at Strath Haven. Wind Ensemble members play in the Symphonic Band and are accepted into this advanced group by audition or at the discretion of the Director. The Wind Ensemble, with smaller numbers of students, focuses on independent musicianship as students have more responsibility to perform at a high level. This course meets on Fridays during 5th block.
