Summer Math Ideas

Summer is a time for having fun and relaxing with friends and family, but keeping our brain engaged is always a good idea too!  Here are some ideas for Summer Math that are both learning and FUN!

Take a Nature Walk-

You can adapt the type of math you do to the age of your child. These Math Walks can be as simple or complex as you want them to be.

• count the number of trees, flowers, dogs, etc

• measure leaves with a ruler, measure the weight of rocks with a kitchen scale, measure around the trunk of a tree with a tape measure

• make a graph of your data
