Our 8th grade Guardians & Avengers were invited to travel to the Outer Banks and Eastern North Carolina to learn about the science and history through hands-on activities, engaging lessons, exploration, experiments, & collaboration. Our 8th grade scholars represented WMS well and learned a lot about the world around them through this immersive learning adventure.
Reflections 2020-21 contest Preview
The National PTA Relections Contest theme for 2020-2012 is "I Matter Because." This theme is a wonderful opportunity for students to express themselves and portray their own ideas and stories through the arts. Students are invited to begin working on entries now for this competition. We have had 2 national winners at our school and numerous state and district winners. You may enter your original work in six different arts categories including: literature, visual arts, film production, dance choreography, photography and music composition. Summer is a great time to think about the theme, plan and start on entries. Contact Mrs. Webster at gcwebster@wsfcs.k12.nc.us for more information. Watch for additional details on the WMS media center website later in the fall.
