MTSS Model of Support for Licensure Assessments
Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools provides a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to help educators succeed on licensure assessments.
Tier 1: Free Practice Tests
All educators can request a free practice test by completing this Google Form. If your practice test predicts a passing score, you are encouraged to register and take your licensure exam. Additionally, NC Teach offers free access to Study.com. To request access, visit this page and complete the form.
Tier 2: Free Access to 240 Tutoring
Participants who need further preparation can access one free month of 240 Tutoring, a personalized learning platform. This tool begins with a diagnostic assessment to create a tailored study plan. Once 90% of the study plan is completed, participants unlock three full-length practice tests.
Tier 3: Small Group Tutoring
For individuals who have completed Tiers 1 and 2 and are still not predicted to pass (limited to specific areas: secondary Math, Science, ELA, SS, or Elementary/EC Math—Praxis 7813), small group synchronous tutoring will be available in the spring. Employees must complete Tiers 1 and 2 to qualify for this support.
