I have lived in Hartland for 33 years and worked at the Hartland Elementary School for the last 27 of them. I have three sons and one grandson who is one of my greatest joys. My dog Foley is a therapy dog and comes to work with me every day to work with the children at HES. Two of my favorite things to do are cruising with family and vacationing in Maine.

Gene Morse

School Counselor & 504 Coordinator

Gene Morse was born and raised in Massachusetts. He earned Masters degrees in School Counseling and School Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California -where he lived and worked for twenty-seven years. After three years working in Colorado, Gene moved to Hartland to work and raise his children in an environment closer to what he experienced growing up on Cape Cod. During his twelve years at Hartland Elementary School Gene has come to care deeply for the Hartland school, students, and community. When not helping students at HES, Gene enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to and playing music, traveling, hiking, fishing, and working with his indefatigable wife on their "Fixer Upper" 1840s farmhouse.

I live in North Hartland with my husband, John and my son,John, who is 14 years old. I grew up in Hartford, Vermont. I love to fish, but not in winter. I rather not stand on a frozen lake or river. I also like to go on random day trips to explore Vermont and surrounding areas.
