Tech integration at GCS is about transforming the way our students understand and interact with technology, shifting away from the passive consumption of media toward greater (pro)active engagement with the digital world. 

This involves:

• Producing creative work collaboratively, for an authentic audience, using a variety of media and digital tools.

• Finding, evaluating, and synthesizing information from a variety of sources to make informed decisions about real-world issues.

• Breaking out of the "black box" paradigm to investigate how things work, troubleshoot problems, and tinker around.

• Building solutions to real-world problems, using an iterative process.

• Debriefing projects reflectively, with attention to process as well as product or outcome. 

The ISTE Standards for Students offer a useful way to frame this approach. Other helpful models that inform our work include the Engineering Design Process and the 10 Literacies Framework.
