This was a school year unlike any other, and while there was much to mourn (missed time with friends and teachers, missed learning opportunities), we also wanted to recognize that slowing down our lives has brought some benefits as well. At the close of the school year the teachers at Guilford Central School wanted to engage our community in a school-wide project that could help kids and families reflect upon some of the positive aspects of our time at home. We called it the Guilford Front Steps Project, as home has become the central focus of our lives these past months.
Think of this as a time capsule of sorts - a way to document and remember some of the fun we’ve had in this most unusual spring semester.
