Happy Summer to all!
Here is an easy printmaking method, to dye paper for a background or by itself. This can be made into a card or a sign. Use the markers on the foil, draw a picture or design. Next, spray or dampen your paper, and press it onto the foil. Once you peel the paper off of the foil it will pick up the color from your marker. Let your paper dry before doing an extra drawing or lettering. Check out the video for more instructions.
You'll need:
Paper
Foil/Plastic bag
Washable Markers
Spray Bottle/damp Sponge
Pencil
Hey everyone! Don't forget about your mom next Sunday!
Here's a simple flower drawing. You'll just need paper, anything to draw with, and some lids or anything circular to trace. If you don't have paints that's okay! Anything you have will work, and I'm sure your mom will LOVE it!
Have fun and enjoy!!
Recreate a work of art using items in your home! Here's what I did- I googled famous paintings for inspiration. I ran across Amedeo Modigliani's painting of Women with Red Hair....I knew I could pull this off! I found a green dress, a doily from the table, a chair and a room with a similar background as the original. I had my daughter helped pose me and snap a photo. I found a free collage maker app so I could place the photo's side by side.
This was a great challenge! It made be really observe the painting, learn about the artist and have fun too! Give it a try! E-mail me your results!
I have the original Getty Museum Art Challenge link and some famous paintings that you could choose from!
You'll Need: Pencil, cup or lid, washable markers, & a paintbrush
I would love to see your results! Snap a photo and e-mail me: deannetepen@wsdr4.org
