My name is Mrs.VanderPloeg, and I am so excited for a new school year but I am MOST excited because I get to be YOUR 4th grade teacher! We are going to have a great year together learning and growing, we have so many amazing things planned! I’m looking forward to learning all about you, but first I’ll tell you a little about me!

I grew up in Florissant, MO but have lived in O’Fallon for the last 15 years. I am married to Joel, who is a Pattonville firefighter and we have four super cool kiddos named Hannah, Jackson, Tommy and Benjamin. Three of those kids have gone through Crossroads from K-6 and the last one is doing that right now, in 4^thgrade just like you! I also have an adorable grandbaby named Charlie who you will hear about every day, she’s pretty special. I love hanging out with my big, loud family and I spend a lot of time watching my kids play sports. When I’m not watching sports or hanging out with my family I am probably shopping. I do love shopping.

I have been a part of the Crossroads Elementary family for over 15 years now, first as a parent, and then as a Special Education Instructional Assistant. It was my love for Crossroads that inspired me to go back to school and earn my Masters in Elementary Education with Certification, enabling me to transition into teaching 4^thgrade (which I have found to be just about the coolest grade level ever )

I am super excited for an amazing school year!
