What is an Educational Support Counselor (ESC)?

Licensed mental health professional that works with the school counselors
Provides therapeutic services for students with more significant mental health needs that interfere with school success
- - assessment, crisis intervention, 1:1 counseling

Helps link students with mental health resources in the community
Consults with faculty, staff & parents/caregivers to help support students mental health needs
Helps coordinate groups and prevention programs for students
