Hello. I am very excited to be your child's teacher here at Barfield! The teaching certifications I have achieved are Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from UCM in 2002, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, Cross-Categorical Special Education and Family and Consumer Sciences. In early August I also completed a Masters Degree in Special Education! My two daughters, Chloe (18) & Ava (13), live with me in Troy. My girls and I like floating/the sand bar/beaches etc. I recently bought an older boat in which I will be attempting to fix/updates this winter so we can enjoy more time on the river together next summer. I am looking forward to a fun and busy full day learning experience with your child this year!

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! My name is Kiersten Swisher and I am very excited to be working with your child on his/her speech and language skills this year! This is my 18th year working as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Wentzville’s Early Childhood Program. My husband and I have twin 16 year old daughters who are Juniors at Timberland High School, and a crazy dog named Marley. I am looking forward to this year working with a great team consisting of your child, you, your family members, teachers, and therapists all working together to meet your child’s educational goals. It is going to BEE a great year!
