School Carnival

May 17th:  6-8 pm

The school carnival is fast approaching! 

In order to run this event Mrs. Robb is also looking for volunteers the night of the carnival. We need adults on May 17th to supervise games, adults to help set up starting at 4:30 and adults to help with clean up at 8. If we have enough volunteers we’d like to also have a tattoo or hair decorating station. If you can volunteer an hour of your time please use the sign up genius below:

End of the Year Carnival: The third annual School Carnival will be held on Friday, May 17th from 6-8pm in the back parking lot of the school. This event will include food trucks, carnival games, bounce houses, dance party, and much more. Cost for this event is $7/student if pre-register, and $10/student at the gate. This is a rain or shine event, and no refunds will be provided. You will only need a ticket for those students or young children that will be participating in the carnival games and prizes. 2nd Grade Teacher

A message from Mrs. Merz/5th grade teacher:

5th Grade entrepreneurs in the Break into Business club will be selling their products at the end of the year carnival. Products range from baked goods to small stuffed animals to sugar scrubs. Be sure to bring cash to support these small businesses!

Thursday, May 23rd: Kindergarten Graduation/Celebration! 

-Doors open at 2:15 and the ceremony starts at 2:30 pm (The graduates will walk into the gym at 2:30 pm)

-Each kindergarten family is allotted 6 seats/6 visitors

-The students will sing a few songs and we will celebrate them! 

-After the ceremony, you are welcome to sign your child out in the classroom

RSVPs MUST BE turned in by May 17th!!

If you have not RSVP'd by name, unfortunately, you won't be able to attend. 

All graduation attendees will be given a pre-printed badge as they enter the building.  

To pre-print badges, we need the full names, birth dates, and driver's license numbers of all guests.

**Driver's License number is only needed for adults**

Field Day

Field Day is Tuesday, May 28th (K-2: 9:30-12:00 and 3-5: 1:00-3:30).

Rain Date is Wednesday, May 29th (K-2: 9:30-12:00 and 3-5: 1:00-3:30).

Last Day of School

Thursday, May 30th: Last Day of School for JES- Early Release Day! 

Reminders

-Snacks: Please send ONE snack with your child daily. Please pack this separately from your child's lunch, so there is no confusion. Snacks need to be healthy (no treats, candy, cookies, desserts, etc.) and without the need for silverware. Don't forget to pack a leak-proof, labeled, water bottle daily as well.  

-Binders: Please make sure to check out your child's binder nightly with them. The binders have specific goals per the child so it is important to familiarize yourself, and your child, with the items inside. 

-Red Folders: Red folders will come back and forth to school, just like your child's binders. The red folder is where you will find all of their completed work and important papers from our office, PTA, etc. 

Birthdays

• I am happy to pass out birthday invitations so long as either the entire class is invited OR ALL boys OR ALL girls are invited. 

• If you would like to send in birthday cookies for your child’s birthday, please email me so that we can pick a day and time that will allow all students to be included. We have 22 students in our classroom. The cookies must be store-bought & unopened.
