We are so excited to host our 5th annual pumpkin design contest at Journey Elementary School. The contest will run from September 29th-October 17th. Voting will take place then at our Trunk of Treat for families and 20th-24th for students. Here is more information about the contest:
Our pumpkin decorating contest is open to students and staff members at Journey Elementary. To enter students, families, and Journey Staff members will decorate a non-perishable pumpkin to look like their favorite BOOK character.
Parents are welcome to help students do any dangerous work (such as using scissors, exacto knives, or hot glue), but students should be the one decorating the entry, unless you are entering the FAMILY category.
They then will fill out an entry form and turn it in with a copy of the book that the character is from. If the student does not have this book they can check it out from our library or the public library.
Hello Hello Hello! Thank you to all the parents who turned in the Volunteer/Chaperone form! However, many of the forms were submitted with only one side completed. Unfortunately, both sides must be filled out in order to be verified as a volunteer through WSD.
If you're still interested in volunteering in the future, please scan the QR code and resubmit the fully completed form.
I apologize for any confusion and appreciate your willingness to support our students!
Extra clothes will be kept in the classroom, so it's one less thing for your child to carry in their backpack!
This is the order there binders should be in! I know since these binders are traveling back and forth from home and school, they might be some of these papers in the wrong place! I would really appreciate it if you could fix them if this were to happen!
Any important papers coming home will be in this folder! Thank you Kindergarten Families!
Per district guidelines, please be sure to keep your child home for 24 hours after any symptoms have occurred and 24 hours after having to take any fever or pain reducing medications to keep everyone healthy, please! If you have any questions, please see the district guidelines document on WSD's website.
