Competition Rules:
Please make sure you are aware of all safety rules and ensure your team's routines do not contain any illegal moves. All teams are expected to follow MSHHA and National Federation of State High School Association rules, including all rules regarding music.
We will have a safety judge present at the competition. The safety judge will NOT deduct points from your team's score. They are there to inform you of anything illegal in your routine in order to best prepare you for the State Competition.
Feel free to bring ropes to help your with formations. We have standard basketball lines on our gym floor.
Categories:
All Elementary, Middle School, High School, Special Needs/ DanceAbilities & All Star/ Studio teams have the option in competing in the following categories: Pom, Precision Dance, Lyrical Jazz, Kick, Mix,Prop, Hiphop, and Gameday. All teams may enter up to 4 routines.
Routine Time Limits:
Solo Routine Max: 1 Minute 30 Seconds
Team Routine Max: (Except Game Day): 2 Minute 15 Seconds
Game Day Max: 3 Minutes
Admission:
Children under the age of 3 will be granted free admission.
January 9th: Admission to competition will be $10 cash only.
Programs:
Programs will be available on the day of the competition!
Music:
Music will be collected prior to competition for a smooth competition, where coaches can enjoy and watch their dances from the front. We will play the music that we have during your warm up time, so you can confirm that it is correct. If you are doing a Game Day routine, please make sure that your music is spliced together into ONE file. If your Game Day music is in separate files, you will need to play it yourself.
