Welcome to DRE Reading with Mrs. Briggs and Mrs. Means!

 Here you will find various resources to help your child build their reading skills at home. What are some of the best things you can do to help your child improve their reading?

1. Read to your child and have your child read to you. Modeling reading out loud and having your child practice orally helps build their understanding of how reading should sound.

2. Talk to your child about what they are reading. Ask them about the plot, setting, and characters. Have them make predictions about what will happen next.

3. Practice sight words with your child. Have them read and write them.
