Objectives:
Math - Students will be able to write three-digit numbers in word form and expanded form, compare three-digit numbers, and break apart numbers while using place-value to understand how to add three-digit numbers.
Reading - Students will be able to explain how headings and maps contribute to meaning in a text, identify the text structures of chronology, comparison, and cause/effect in texts and explain the development of an author's purpose in an informational text.
Writing - Students will be able to write a personal or fictional narrative using a logical sequence of events, appropriate descriptions, and a variety of transitional words or phrases.
Phonics - Students will be able to decode (read) words with short vowels a, i, e, o, u and use knowledge of word families and inflectional endings to decode words.
Grammar/Vocabulary - Students will be able to identify sentences and fragments. Also, they will be able to use capitalization and punctuation correctly.
Social Studies - Students will be able to name and locate major cities, rivers, regions, and border (neighboring) states of Missouri.
Science - Students will be able to identify living parts of an environment and describe how living things can differ in amount or type from place to place.
