We all go through times in our lives when we feel overwhelmed and our stress level is extraordinarily high. The best things you can do for your physical health are to exercise, get outside , eat well (most of the time), and be sure to get enough sleep. Healthy coping skills are additional things you can do to maintain your mental health through tough times. We all feel stress! It's true, everyone does, but we all manage it in very different ways. Managing stress in healthy ways can help your body and your mind be at their best. When you feel good, you are better able to focus on your work, and maybe even support someone else through their difficulties.
Coping skills come in a variety of forms and are used to help us manage stressful times. It's important to remember that coping skills are not meant to avoid difficult situations, but help us through them. When we face adversity (difficulty or hardship) we become stronger and better equipped to handle difficulties the next time they come to challenge us - and you can bet they will. You are strong! You CAN do hard things! We believe in YOU!
