It’s time to celebrate the season, show your school pride, and join in on a week of fun activities and dress-up days!
Throughout the week, students are encouraged to participate in our daily spirit themes and lunchtime events.
Each day you dress for the theme, you’ll be entered into our daily prize draw, and if you join one of our activities, you could win a candy prize pack.
Here’s what’s happening each day:
Monday, October 27 – Sweater Weather
Dress Theme: Pull out your coziest, quirkiest, or most oversized sweaters.
Activities (Outside):
Skull Bowling – Try to knock down the tombstones with our spooky skulls and see who can score the most points.
Flour Sack Races – Hop to the finish line and claim the title of fastest fall racer!
Tuesday, October 28 – Flannel Day
Dress Theme: Celebrate the season by wearing your favourite flannel.
Activities (Main Lobby):
Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest – First come, first served (limited to 20 participants).
Pumpkin Carving Contest – Pick up a pumpkin (location to be announced). Return your carved pumpkin for judging on Thursday, October 30 between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m. Voting begins at 11:50 a.m.
Wednesday, October 29 – Music Day
Dress Theme: Represent your favourite music artist or band.
Activity (Theatre):
Karaoke – Step up to the mic and show off your musical talent or just have fun cheering on your friends.
Thursday, October 30 – Black Out Thursday
Dress Theme: Go all out in black from head to toe.
Activities:
Pumpkin Carving Contest Voting (Main Lobby) – Vote for your favourite carved creation. Vote here: https://forms.gle/vmMox3kr6Gw7sYZJ6
Candy Scavenger Hunt (Throughout the School) – Find the spooky trivia posters, answer the questions, and visit the classrooms listed to collect your candy rewards.
Friday, October 31 – Halloween Day
Dress Theme: Wear your Halloween costume and join the festivities.
Activities:
Halloween Costume Contest (Theatre) – Dress to impress and take part in our costume contest. Let's find out who has the best costumes in Grade 9, 10, 11, and 12.
Spooky Photo Booth (Outside Theatre) – Capture your best Halloween memories with friends.
Halloweenie Lunch (Cafeteria) – Enjoy a hotdog, drink, and chips combo for $7.00.
Fall Spirit Week is all about celebrating our Tec-Voc community, sharing some laughter, and showing off our Hornet pride.
