English Language Arts

Students will participate in:

Math

Daily math lessons will focus

on: problem solving

activities and number talks. Students will

develop skills in the four

strands: Number,

Patterns and Relations,

Shape and Space,

Statistics and Probability.



Science

Students will study:

• Growth and Changes in

Animals

• Properties of Solids, Liquids & Gases

• Position and Motion

• Air and Water in the

Environment



Social Studies

Students will explore the

following topics:

• Our Local Community

• Communities in Canada

• The Canadian Community



Health

Students will learn daily habits

for staying healthy such as

eating healthy and exercising, as well as explore ways to maintain mental wellness. To learn about personal

safety, students will

participate in the Kids in the

Know program.



Art

We will learn how to use

various mediums such as:

paints, oil pastels, chalk pastels

and plastecine. Students will

learn how to express

themselves through drama.
